Privacy

The short version

Learn Modbus uses an email address and Cloudflare Turnstile to grant immediate course access. A signed, host-only cookie keeps this browser unlocked for 90 days. There are no accounts, passwords, ad networks, or cross-site tracking. Progress, notes, quiz history, profile, and preferences remain in your browser's localStorage unless you explicitly export them.

What we store and why

• Course progress (which modules & pages you've completed)
• Notes you write on lesson pages
• Last page visited per module (so we can resume you)
• Theme + UI preferences
• A signed __Host-lm_access cookie containing no email or other personal information

Course-access email and optional updates

We send the normalized email address to Resend to operate course access and record the latest access submission. We retain that access-purpose contact for 12 months after the latest submission. The separate Studio Seventeen updates checkbox is optional, unchecked by default, and recorded independently. Access does not verify that the mailbox exists or belongs to the visitor.

What we do not collect

• Names, passwords, or account credentials
• Learner notes, progress, quiz history, or profile data
• Advertising profiles or session recordings
• Third-party advertising, marketing, or analytics cookies
• Any cross-site tracking of any kind

Hosting & logs

Cloudflare delivers the site, runs Turnstile, and may process standard request data such as IP address, user agent, URL, and timestamp for abuse prevention and reliability. Resend stores the access-purpose email and any separately chosen newsletter topic. Our operational events record outcomes and timing categories, not raw emails, cookies, Turnstile tokens, or learner-state data.

Shared devices, deletion, and revocation

Anyone using the same browser profile may have access until the cookie is cleared or expires. You may ask us to delete the access-purpose contact; we complete deletion requests within 30 days and do not change independent newsletter consent. Because the access cookie is stateless, deleting the Resend contact does not revoke an already issued cookie. Clear access on the browser or wait for expiry; a global signing-key rotation can invalidate all sessions if required.
